Talent Testimony:

Testimony from Miki Baxter
After seeking God about it, the idea came to me to add the "talent" given to us with my God given talents - as a photographer and make-up artist. I partnered with Heather and her talent of hospitality to host a makeover day for several ladies. It was so much fun to plan this together, eat yummy snacks, chat and then do make-up, hair and take photos of these lovely ladies. Our two talents along with a few others that were added to ours will be used to make some prints for the ladies. It was really neat to combine talents to serve and bless others.

Testimony from Deborah Reese:
I knew immediately how I wanted to "spend" the talent given me, but I was unable to find an organization that fit my desire. My talent stayed clipped to my refrigerator for all to see until I could find the right place to invest it. Many asked about it and in itself it became a witness. It was wonderful. I have now invested my talent and am excited at the potential harvest it can reap for God. You see my desire was to send the talent to a Bible distributing organization that had a donor who was offering to match any size donation they received 100 percent. I believed that way I automatically had a 100 percent return on the investment, plus a perpetual return by providing a Bible to someone who needed to know God who would then provide it to someone...who would then provide it to someone...and on and on. Unfortunately, I couldn't find an organization that had a matching donor but I still sent it to one that distributed Bibles. The true return won't be known until I get to heaven, but no matter because if even one person comes to know the Lord then the investment was a awesome one.

Testimony from the Baxter Family:
I have been seeking God about what to do since you issued the challenge, finally got the inspiration and am working on it.  I'll report the result as soon as the task is completed.  In the meantime, I passed on the challenge as part of my Christmas gift to my four nephews who range in age from 8 - 14.  They were each given a dollar and are supposed to let me know how they were inspired to use  the "talent."

Testimony from Judy Kaiser:
I was really confused as to what in the world God would want me to use my $1 for. The whole time I prayed and thought about it, my oldest son's name, Nate, kept "popping" in my brain. So after I prayed about it, asking God to give me a complete understanding of what He wants, I gave the dollar to Nate to use one of two ways: 1) towards his missions trip to Thailand this summer; or 2) towards the food he buys and takes down to some of the homeless people around the I-83 overpass. He has been going down there for a while, and usually buys hamburgers from McDonalds, takes coffee from Luckies, and anything else he thinks of. Well, Nate chose putting it towards the homeless. Since he has been going down there, God has kept him very safe, he has built relationships with the people down there, and he even gets the opportunity to pray with them. This is something God directed Nate to do. He takes a couple of his non-believer co-workers with him after they close the store of an evening, (his sister goes along sometimes too) they take food and coffee, and just talk to the ones down there. As a mom, I am very blessed. As a Christian, I am humbled, and grateful that God has chosen Nate to serve this purpose - and more importantly - Nate listened. Praise the Lord!!!!!!
