Executive Assistant

My husband, Chris, our two children and I have lived in Maryland on and off since 2000, courtesy of the US Army.  We settled here for good in 2006, after deciding that my husband should get out of the Army and back into the private world. We had always had trouble finding a "home" church, both through lack of effort and the "busyness" of life. We had never found a church were we both felt like we fit in.  I found Living Hope Church online using the Association of Life Giving Churches.  I was looking for Jennifer Grimelli something similar to New Life Church in Colorado Springs.  It's a mega-church I had attended while my husband was deployed to Iraq.  What we found at Living Hope Church was even better.  

We found a family of people that truly care about you.  It was such a huge difference from going to church and sitting on the back pew (even though we still did that for a while). Pastor Paul preached, and if I didn't feel like he was talking directly to me, my husband did.  I loved that my children were being taught Bible truths, not religion. Even though the church was small, we didn't feel like we stuck out, we felt like we blended in.

 I started out by volunteering in the nursery on Sunday mornings. One thing led to another though, and I found myself working in the front office, and then into this position as Pastor Paul's assistant.  I guess I assumed that working in a church office would be similar to any other office job, just with "church" people.  This office though, this staff, has a way of caring about each other that makes us family. Sure there are difficult situations, but I'm lucky to have my brothers' and sisters' here at LHC to see me through them.

 I can't wait to see what else God has in store for us.
